Join host, Regina Barr, and author, Dr. Arin Reeves, for a 30 minute informational interview as they discuss the book, One Size NEVER Fits All: Business Development Strategies for Women (and Most Men), on Thursday, May 17 at 12 noon CST.

Dr. Reeves’s groundbreaking research and innovative solutions will revolutionize business development for women (and most men), and propel women into the leadership roles which have evaded them in the past.

Through original research, Dr. Reeves illustrates how women often are more successful in certain aspects of business development (networking, establishing relationships, delivering excellence in client service), but firms primarily reward closing the sale and getting the credit for the sale–two areas where women are less successful using traditional business development techniques. Dr. Reeves explains why most women (and also most men) fall prey to this flawed traditional business development approach and offers a series of alternative approaches that professional women (and men), as well as the firms in which they work, should use instead.

Dr. Arin Reeves is a leading researcher, author and adviser in the fields of leadership and inclusion, Arin studied business at DePaul University’s College of Commerce, attended law school at University of Southern California and received her Ph.D. in Sociology from Northwestern University. She is a Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago, and she was recognized as a Rising Star by the Anti-Defamation League. Her column “Diversity in Practice” was recognized by the Herman Kogan Media Awards for excellence in journalism.

Arin is a best-selling author of two books – The Next IQ (2012) and One Size Never Fits All (2014) – and she is the President of the research and advisory firm, Nextions (pronounced “connections” without the “co”), a new way of seeing and doing leadership and inclusion. Before Nextions (formerly The Athens Group), Arin practiced law for several years and also served as an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University where she taught classes on law and society.
